Amanda Renteria

Amanda Renteria is the CEO of Code for America, the country’s leading civic tech nonprofit for over 15 years. Code for America works with government at all levels across the country to improve the delivery of public services through technology. Amanda champions initiatives that directly impact millions of Americans’ lives, focusing on three key areas: strengthening the social safety net, improving the process of tax filing, and automating record clearance. As the first Latina Chief of Staff in the history of the US Senate, she served for nearly a decade in the federal government, helping shape national policy. Amanda earned her BA from Stanford University and her MBA from Harvard Business School. She is based in the East Bay in California with her husband and two children.
