Calum Matheson

Calum Matheson is Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Communication at the University of Pittsburgh and serves on the faculty of the Pittsburgh Psychoanalytic Center. His research and teaching interests include disinformation, fringe communities, conspiracy theories, and Internet culture. His latest book, Post-Weird: Fragmentation, Community, and the Decline of the Mainstream, examines how new communities form around shared symbols under conditions of cultural fragmentation.
