Carly Penrose

Carly Penrose is a Toronto-based journalist passionate about transforming numbers into personal, human stories. She feels happiest when learning (formally or informally), and her research interests include social media, housing, education, and health. Carly graduated from Metropolitan University of Toronto's Master of Journalism program, where she worked with the Local News Data Hub. She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Mount Allison University, focusing on multisensory perception. Carly enjoys improv comedy, running, and reflecting on pop culture. Her work has appeared in the National Post, This Magazine, and The Canadian Press.
