Haileleol Tibebu

Haileleol Tibebu is an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois, a Public Voices Fellow at The OpEd Project, and founder of African Voice AI, which amplifies African perspectives in AI development and policymaking. He researches responsible AI, algorithmic fairness, tech policy, and global AI governance, collaborates with international policy bodies including the United Nations, and has chaired sessions at major conferences on responsible AI, including REAIM.
