Ishita Chordia

Ishita Chordia (she/her) is a PhD Candidate at the University of Washington Information School. Her dissertation investigates the ways that neighbors share information about crime and safety online, and how such information-sharing influences peoples' perceptions of their neighbors and their neighborhood. She is passionate about how we can collectively create equitable, resilient, and sustainable communities. Ishita has a MS in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a BS in Economics from Duke University.
