Jasmine McNealy

Jasmine McNealy JD, PhD, is a critical public interest technologist, attorney, and social scientist who studies emerging media, technology, and policy with an emphasis on privacy, surveillance and data governance. McNealy is a professor in the Department of Media Production, Management, and Technology, where she studies information, communication, and technology with a view toward influencing law and policy. Her research focuses on privacy, online media, and communities. McNealy is also a former senior fellow in tech policy with the Mozilla Foundation and a faculty associate at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society. She holds a PhD in Mass Communication with an emphasis in Media Law, and a J.D. from the University of Florida, and a Bachelor of Science degree in both Journalism and Afro-American studies from the University of Wisconsin.
