Joseph Simons

Joseph Simons is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Engineering Management and Systems Engineering at George Washington University. Most recently, Mr. Simons served as Deputy Director for Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Senior Advisor to the Assistant Secretary for Financial Resources (ASFR) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), where he was responsible for advancing HHS’s ERM capability maturity and directing operations for the Department-wide governance body overseeing the implementation and practice of ERM at HHS. Prior to joining HHS, Mr. Simons held various roles in the public and private sector with an emphasis on internal consulting, strategic initiatives, business analytics, risk management, and change management.
