Juvaria Shahid

Juvaria Shahid is Tech Justice Law’s Legal Fellow. Juvaria comes to tech accountability work from a background in computer science. Prior to law school, she graduated with a B.S in Computer Science from Columbia University and worked as a software engineer for two years. She graduated from Harvard Law School in May 2026, where she was a Reginald F. Lewis Internship Grant recipient and Technology Editor of the Journal of Law and Technology, and worked as a research assistant to Professor Jon Hanson and at the Library Innovation Lab. At the CyberLaw Clinic at Harvard Law, she focused on public-private partnerships for surveillance, advocating for public visibility into surveillance technologies on behalf of community organizers. As a technologist, she is committed to using legal advocacy to make technology safer for the communities that use them.
