Mahsa Alimardani is Associate Director of the Technology Threats and Opportunities programme at WITNESS, leading work on how emerging technologies reshape visual truth. She is a doctoral researcher at the Oxford Internet Institute on information controls in authoritarian settings, drawing on over a decade of work at the intersection of digital rights and the design of technologies that protect human rights and serve the most vulnerable.
